A drive through East Maui Hawaii takes you through Upcountry Maui Hawaii, cowboy and farming country, to the spectacular heights of Haleakala, a dormant volcano. Just to the south of Kihei is the Wailea area, home to the Four Seasons, Grand Wailea, and other luxury resorts and condos. Maui Hawaii is home to gorgeous beaches abound. Just 35 years ago this area was a desert. it's perennially sunny, with less than a foot of rainfall per year.
